Here are the steps to make a simple bird feeder from recycled materials:
Materials:
- Clean and empty plastic bottle
- Wooden spoon or dowel
- String or twine
- Birdseed
- Utility knife or scissors
- Hole punch
Instructions:
- Take a clean and empty plastic bottle and remove any labels or stickers.
- Use a utility knife or scissors to cut two small holes near the base of the bottle, on opposite sides.
- Use a hole punch to make two holes near the top of the bottle, also on opposite sides.
- Cut a wooden spoon or dowel to fit the length of the bottle and insert it through the two holes near the base, so that it goes across the bottle.
- Tie a string or twine through the holes near the top of the bottle to make a hanger.
- Fill the bottle with birdseed through the opening at the top.
- Hang the bird feeder outside in a tree or on a hook.
Your simple bird feeder is now ready for the birds to enjoy!
