Step 1: Measure the wall

• Consider adding crown molding to the top of the wood strips for a more finished look.
• To create a shiplap look, leave a small gap between the panels and paint or stain the wood strips.
• If you’re using pre-primed MDF panels, you can skip the painting step and leave them white for a clean and modern look.

• When nailing the panels, make sure to use brad nails that are long enough to go through the panel and into the wood strips but not too long that they poke through the front of the panel.
